Why You Should Never Share Your Toothbrush

Sharing is caring โ€” just not when it comes to your toothbrush.

Your toothbrush comes into direct contact with your teeth, gums and saliva. Sharing one can transfer bacteria and other germs from another person's mouth straight into yours.

Even if it's your partner, family member or close friend, it's best to keep toothbrushes personal. If you've forgotten yours, getting a new toothbrush is always the better choice.

Keeping your toothbrush clean matters too. Rinse it well after brushing, let it air-dry and avoid letting the bristles touch other people's toothbrushes while they're being stored.

And don't forget to replace your toothbrush regularly, especially when the bristles become worn or frayed. A clean toothbrush and good brushing habits are simple ways to help protect your smile. Your smile deserves its own toothbrush. Keep it that way
