PATIENT EDUCATION

The internet has answers. Your dentist has better ones.
A toothache at midnight can quickly turn into a search for “Why does my tooth hurt when I bite?” Google can give you possibilities, but it can’t examine your mouth or tell you exactly what’s wrong.
Bleeding gums, sensitivity and bad breath don’t always mean something serious — but they shouldn’t always be ignored either. Instead of assuming the worst, let your dentist check what’s actually going on.
And please be careful with DIY dental hacks. Home whitening mixtures, trying to remove tartar yourself or using random products recommended online can sometimes do more harm than good.
Dental problems can look similar but have very different causes. What worked for someone on TikTok or an online forum may not be right for your teeth.
So if something feels wrong, skip the 2AM panic spiral. Book a check-up, ask your questions and let us give you answers that are actually about your smile.
